My name is Danielle Armstrong and I am from La Jara, which is a small town in Southern Colorado. I have been married for 9 years and have three beautiful daughters ages 6, 4, and 2. I was a stay at home mom until I decided to attend Trinidad State Junior College (TSJC) in January 2014 to get my degree in psychology with an emphasis in Addiction Counseling as well as a degree in Political Science. I was elected as Legislative Liaison for the State Student Advisory Council in October 2015. In April I was elected as the State Student Advisory Council Vice Chair and have recently been selected as the National Vice President of leadership on the Student Leadership team for the American Association of Community Colleges. I received the Rising star award from the State Student Advisory Council as well as the Emerging Leader Award from TSJC. I am a member or Phi Theta Kappa and also the President of the TSJC Student Government.
